Comparison 01
e.max is an excellent material. The material isn't the problem.
Lithium disilicate ceramic reaches 360–400 MPa flexural strength per manufacturer data and is the industry's aesthetic benchmark. We don't dispute that.
The problem is this: for e.max to deliver its strength, it needs a minimum thickness. The only way to make room for that thickness is to shave healthy enamel. And once enamel is gone, it never returns — the tooth becomes dependent on a restoration for life. So the price isn't only money; it's tissue you can't get back.
Noplamina works at 0.2 mm. At that thickness no room needs to be made — the veneer seats directly on the enamel surface. The same aesthetic goal, without an irreversible decision.
Shaving enamel isn't a technique — it's an irreversible decision.
